Instructions to make Beer bread:

  4. Once ragged dough is formed, get on in there with your hands like you would with biscuits and bring it together to form a loose ball, knead the dough 10 to 12 times similar to biscuits.
  5. Form into loaf & place in greased loaf pan. I used butter.
  6. Let rest for approximately 15 minutes.
  7. Place in oven on top rack for approximately 45 minutes until top is golden brown.
  8. Open the second beer and enjoy it while your bread bakes… You do have 45 min. to kill lol
  9. Let cool for 10 to 15 min.& turn out onto cooling rack.
  10. Brush top of loaf with butter.

Toast up a slice for breakfast with your favorite jam or jelly. Use a couple of slices for a sandwich loaded with meat and cheese or PB&J. It's outrageously good served with soup or chili, too. For basic beer bread, you'll stir together self-rising flour and sugar. Pour in a bottle of beer.
